EUROMAN 2026 – Participant Disclaimer, Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

By submitting an application for participation in EUROMAN 2026 (the “Event”) and by checking the acceptance box, I hereby acknowledge, declare, and agree to the following terms, which constitute a legally binding agreement between myself and the Event organizer.

1. Nature of the Event

I understand that EUROMAN 2026 is an endurance-based, multi-day, cross-border triathlon relay challenge taking place across multiple European countries, involving running, road cycling, and swimming, with no predefined distances and continuous progression in time and geography.

I acknowledge that participation may take place on public roads, open water, and natural terrain, under varying and potentially extreme weather, traffic, and environmental conditions.

2. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk

I expressly acknowledge that participation in the Event involves significant inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, exhaustion, illness, accidents, collisions, drowning, hypothermia, traffic-related incidents, equipment failure, acts of third parties, and unforeseen hazards.

I voluntarily choose to participate entirely at my own risk and knowingly and freely assume full responsibility for all risks, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising from my participation.

3. Health, Fitness and Eligibility Declaration

I confirm that:

  • I am at least 18 years of age at the time of the Event.
  • I am physically and mentally fit, adequately trained, and capable of completing my chosen discipline and distance.
  • I do not suffer from any medical condition that would make my participation unsafe, or I have obtained appropriate medical clearance.
  • I understand that I am solely responsible for monitoring my own condition before, during, and after my participation.

4. Compliance with Rules and Laws

I agree to comply fully with:

  • The official EUROMAN 2026 Rules as published by the organizer,
  • All instructions issued by the organizer before and during the Event,
  • All applicable local laws, traffic regulations, and safety requirements in each country through which the Event passes.

I acknowledge that any violation of the rules may result in immediate exclusion from the Event and revocation of raceteam membership without compensation.

5. Waiver and Release of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I hereby irrevocably waive, release, and discharge EUROMAN, EUROMAN e.V. (if applicable), the founder, organizers, coordinators, volunteers, partners, sponsors, supporters, and any affiliated persons or entities (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in the Event.

This waiver includes claims based on negligence, but excludes liability for intent or gross negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

6. Personal Responsibility and Costs

I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for:

  • My own equipment, safety measures, and logistical arrangements,
  • Any medical treatment, rescue operations, transportation, accommodation, or damages incurred as a result of my participation,
  • Any damage caused by me to third parties or property.

I understand that the organizer does not provide medical, accident, liability, or travel insurance.

7. Media, Image and Recording Consent

I grant the organizer the irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to record, use, reproduce, distribute, and publish photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and other media featuring my likeness, voice, or participation, without compensation, for documentation, promotional, editorial, and commercial purposes, in all media formats and for an unlimited duration.

8. Data Protection

I acknowledge that my personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Event’s Privacy Policy, solely for purposes related to the organization, execution, and documentation of EUROMAN 2026.

9. Severability

If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain fully valid and enforceable.

10. Binding Effect

By checking the acceptance box, I confirm that I have carefully read, fully understood, and voluntarily accepted this disclaimer and waiver. I understand that this agreement is legally binding, even without a handwritten signature.
